TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL 25
A convergence of diverse expressions and perspectives — capturing the present moment of street photography.
TSPF is the only international open-call exhibition in Japan dedicated exclusively to street photography.
Now in its third edition, TSPF 25 brings together a record-breaking 90 photographers from 27 countries, showcasing a global array of street photography in Setagaya, Tokyo.
Street photography is more than mere documentation or casual snapshots.
It is a genre of infinite freedom — capable of transforming the ordinary into art, raising social questions, or abstracting reality into poetic images.
This year's theme is "Perspective."
By highlighting the cultural backgrounds, genders, and identities of the photographers — such as "women," "men," "Asian," "Japanese," and "Western" — the exhibition presents a spatial composition built upon intersecting viewpoints.
It offers an experience that explores the very act of "seeing" through a rich tapestry of perspectives.
A four-day encounter with the evolving gaze of the street — an international showcase you won’t find anywhere else.
We invite you to discover the new possibilities of photographic expression and the deep diversity of perspectives that shape them.
SPECIAL EXHIBITION
Women in Street
Through Her Lens: Australian Stories
Twelve women street photographers capture the reality of contemporary Australia.
From Perth to Melbourne, Broken Hill to Sydney — festivals, pride events, local gatherings, and everyday scenes.
Through their unique perspectives, these images reveal an Australia that embraces diversity, community, and freedom of expression.
This exhibition showcases the work of twelve women photographers from the collectives Women in Street and Unexposed Collective.
Each artist offers a personal and artistic lens on the present moment, documenting the life and spirit of their surroundings.
Together, these photographs ask: How do we see the everyday?
Discover another side of Australia — one told through the eyes of women.
SPECIAL EXHIBITION
Somethingnoize
A Collective Gaze on the Urban Murmur
Founded in 2020 by Kinho Lam, Joe Lee, and Etienne Leung, Somethingnoize is a Hong Kong–based photography collective that explores the nuances of contemporary life through the lens of street photography.
Their work captures fleeting moments and subtle rhythms of the city, inviting viewers to reconsider the relationship between individual and environment, memory and place.
The group also curates the Hong Kong edition of the Rozou Project, an outdoor projection-based exhibition first initiated in Tokyo by Tadashi Onishi.
By projecting photographs onto walls and public surfaces, the project creates spontaneous visual encounters, transforming urban space into an open forum for artistic dialogue.
Now active in Japan, Ukraine, Finland, and beyond, Rozou Project continues to expand its global footprint.
Through both intimate observation and public intervention, Somethingnoize redefines photography as a living, breathing part of the urban experience.
