Traces of Memory

Photographer:

Kyosuke Hamao

Country:

The united states

Description:

Memory settles, then quietly fades away. In New York—a chaotic city shaped by diverse races and cultures—the restless flow of people forms black masses, shadows, and afterimages. Captured in photographs, these elements curiously overlap with the faded fragments of memory that lie dormant in the corners of my mind.
Through the abstract power of monochrome, I have been snapping these intersecting “traces,” hoping they might reveal something otherwise unnoticed. This series, Afterimages of Memory, is the result. Though humble in execution, I would be grateful if you take the time to look.

Biography:

Amateur photographer and designer. Member of FRAME TOKYO.
