TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL 26

TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) was first launched in May 2023 and has continued to grow each year, welcoming increasing numbers of participating countries, photographers, and visitors.

For its fourth edition, TSPF 26 returns to Setagaya Art Museum, the same venue as last year, with an expanded exhibition space. This year also marks the beginning of a new cultural exchange project, offering visitors an even more diverse and enriching experience of street photography.

TSPF is Japan’s only international photography festival dedicated exclusively to street photography.

Through a wide range of works gathered from Japan and around the world, visitors can experience the forefront of contemporary street photography. This is a unique opportunity to encounter a diverse collection of perspectives and photographic expressions from across the globe—all in one place.

TSPF Concept

“To open the call to a wide range of works, communicate the appeal and value of street photography to the fullest, create dialogue between photographers and visitors, and build an ongoing cultural community.”

TSPF introduces original and diverse works by photographers whose practices are centered around street photography.

Alongside photographers from across Japan, the festival brings together works by international photographers with different cultural backgrounds, perspectives, and values—highlighting the richness and diversity of street photography as a global visual language.

TSPF is also built on the belief that photography is not only created by the photographer, but also shaped by those who view it and those who appear within it.

Through photography as a shared medium, the festival aims to create a space where photographers and visitors can naturally connect, engage, and exchange perspectives.

With the four core elements of See, Listen, Talk, and Enjoy, TSPF continues to expand beyond the format of a traditional photo exhibition—developing new programs and experiences while nurturing an ongoing cultural community around photography.
