東京はついに梅雨明けを迎えましたが、皆さん、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
突然ですが、今回は私の大好きなズームレンズについて書きたいと思います。
レンズを選ぶ際、単焦点かズームかで悩む方もいらっしゃるのではないでしょうか。
今回の記事が少しでもレンズ選びの参考になれば幸いです。
Hello everyone. The rainy season has passed over in Japan, and how are you guys doing? I hope you are doing well. For this time, I am going to write about zoom lenses which I love to use.
I guess some of you might have a difficult time when you are selecting a zoom lens or single focus lens. I hope this article helps you to select lenses that you use.
まずは、ズームレンズの魅力から。
First of all, I am going to share how zoom lenses are great.
色々な画角を楽しめる
Possible to Enjoy with Many Different Angle of View
当たり前ですが、ズームレンズは一つのレンズで色々な画角を楽しめます。
私が使っているレンズは24mm〜70mmまで対応しており、色々なスタイルの写真を撮ることができます。
色々な画角の写真を撮ることで、段々と自分の好みの画角も分かってきました。
It is general, but zoom lenses provide you an opportunity to play with so many kinds of different angles of views. My lenses work by 24mm to 70mm, and I can always shoot a lot of different types of moments and with different styles. Because of that, I could know what angle of view is the most favorite and clarify my photo style.
状況適応性が高い
High Adaptability
その場の状況に応じて臨機応変に画角を変えられることが最大の利点だと思います。
例えば、何か障害物があって物理的に近寄れない場合や、被写体との距離を詰めている間にそのシーンが変わってしまいそうな場合など、
ズームレンズがあれば即座に対応できます。
ショーウィンドウへの反射を撮る場合なんかにも、とても便利です。
It is the best point that you can change your favorite angle of view whenever you want. For instance, when you can not get close to the subject you want to capture because of some obstacles, or you are too close with the subject, you can comfortably change the angle of view and capture the moment. It is also helpful to shoot the reflection of showindow.
安心感がある
どのような状況にも対応できるということが安心感につながり、広い視野で、リラックスしながら撮影できる気がします。
一方で、ズームレンズを使う際に気を付けなければならない点もあります。
Because the zoom lens has a high adaptability, it gives you a sense of security, and you can relax and shoot.
However, there are some negative points of using zoom lenses.
機動性は失われる
Lose Functionality
単焦点レンズと比べると、どうしても大きくて重いです。
起きピンで片手で素早く撮る、ということはなかなか難しく、被写体としっかりと向き合う必要が出てきます。
それはそれで、色々勉強になります。
Compared with a single focus lense, a zoom lens is going to be heavy and difficult to shoot quickly. Therefore, you really need to get used to using zoom lenses.
選択肢が多い分、迷う可能性

色々な画角を使える分、どの画角を使ったらいいのか、迷いが生じるかもしれません。
私は、基本となる画角は決めた上で、状況に応じて微調整するようにしています。
You might get lost which angle of views you need to use because you have many choices.
I always try to decide the main angle of view that I mainly use, then I modify the angle of view for many different situations.
ズームに頼りすぎる

これが一番気を付けなければならない点だと思っています。
なんせ物理的に近付かなくても寄れてしまうので、本当は自分でもっと近付けるような場合でも、ズームに頼ってしまいがちです。
しかし、同じ場面でも、被写体に自ら近付いて広角で撮った写真と、ズームで寄って撮った写真とでは、見え方が全然違うことに注意しなくてはなりません。
どちらが良くてどちらが悪い、ということではありませんが、違いを意識した上で、自分で寄るのか、ズームを使うのか、状況に応じて選択することが重要だと思います。
このように一長一短のあるズームレンズですが、その特徴を分かった上で使えば、とても便利なレンズだと思います。

Because you can very easily capture the subject that is far from you using zooming, you might rely on zooming and you will become like a sniper.
You need to be aware that the photo you took with zooming and the photo that you directly get close to the subject are totally different if you use a zoom lens.
There is no point which is good or bad, however it is really important to decide shooting style, such as getting close to the subject or capturing with zoom lenses with understanding of the difference.
I think a zoom lens is very useful if you know exactly what it is. I recommend you to use a zoom lens if you have an interest.
