This photograph was taken in Seville, Spain, during Semana Santa in 2024. While waiting for the processions to begin, the artist was walking through the city taking photographs when he came across a girl sitting in a window. At the same moment, two penitentes approached beneath her window. Fortunately, he had his camera in hand and was able to capture the scene.
Biography
A street and documentary photographer born and raised in Sydney, Australia, and based in Zagreb, Croatia since 1992. The artist became interested in photography in 2016 after walking the Camino de Santiago.
Working primarily in black-and-white street and documentary photography, the artist documents ordinary people and everyday life. His work has received numerous awards, been exhibited in group exhibitions worldwide, featured in five solo exhibitions, and published in various books and magazines. He also curates several Instagram pages dedicated to street and documentary photography and has served as a judge for numerous prestigious photography awards.
