Rosendo Sánchez is a photographer born in Albacete, Spain, and currently based in Granada. Trained in law, he developed his photographic practice through studies at the University of Granada and workshops with internationally recognised photographers.
Beginning with documentary and travel photography, his work evolved through extensive travels across Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Today, his practice focuses on street photography and the visual interpretation of the city, exploring the relationship between urban space, advertising imagery, and human presence. His recent work seeks to reveal the city’s autonomous visual identity, where architecture and the built environment often eclipse the people who inhabit them.
His photographs have been exhibited internationally in cities including Madrid, Vienna, Venice, Cairo, Los Angeles, Berlin, Barcelona, Sydney, and Chongqing, and have received several honorary distinctions in photography competitions.
