Biography
Alonso Díaz de Anda is a Mexican street photographer and cultural manager whose practice centers on observing urban life and popular traditions. Trained as an artist in Tijuana, his work seeks symbols within everyday gestures and public spaces that reveal identity and collective memory.
He is the founder and director of Postal 5.6, an international street photography community through which he has developed collaborative projects and the exhibition series Ecos Cardinales, presented at venues including the Museo del Pulque, Casa Talavera (UACM), and the Centro Queretano de la Imagen.
His work has received international recognition, including First Prize at Trazos de Tradición (Germany, 2024), and he was invited to serve as a juror for the 3rd RomePhotoLab (Italy, 2026). He has also been a finalist in prestigious competitions such as the Mexico Street Photo Fest (2025) and México en una Imagen, where his work was exhibited at the Museo Soumaya.
His photographs have been published in leading photography magazines including Eye Shot (Italy) and Docu Magazine (Finland), reflecting a visual practice that transforms ordinary moments into poetic and socially resonant narratives.
