Biography
Verónica Mar is a photographer based in Monterrey, Mexico. Her practice is rooted in psychogeography, exploring the city as a force that shapes, distorts, and reveals those who move through it. Her photobook La ciudad. La noche. (2022) traces this process from within.
Her work has been exhibited in eleven countries and selected for the Urban Photo Awards (2020, 2025), Buenos Aires Street Photo Fest 2025, and the 2026 Verano Vienés Latin American Photo and Film Festival in Austria. She received the Northern Exposure Grant at Medium Photo 2024 (San Diego) and an Honorable Mention at FotoSlovo 2025. She also develops street photography education programs in Mexico and internationally.
