Description
This image is of a tired shopper taking a break in a bookstore. Even though the person is a paying customer, the occupied space in the store is only temporary as it is a private property. The customer after fulfilling their roles in consumption will be forced to vacate the premises. Similar to the ever encroaching privatisation of the Commons, the ephemeral reflection of the customer reflects our vanishing rights in occupying shared physical spaces. This lost of Third Spaces for quick profit is near sighted and impoverishes the lives of future generations.
