Between the Steps, Paused

Photographer

Rayner Sidjaya

Country

Indonesia

Description

Photographed during the 2025 Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa, this moment emerged between movement and stillness. Amid the noise and celebration, her expression held something quieter—focused, grounded, almost suspended in time. In the blur of the procession, it was not the spectacle that stayed with me, but this fleeting gesture of presence. A fragment, incomplete, yet deeply resonant.
