FRAME TOKYO is pleased to announce that TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) will finally be held next spring.

TSPF is a participatory event project that brings together many street photographers and visitors to enjoy photography, have conversations, and as a result to develop into a cultural community with all participants.

Through the works of many street photographers, you will experience the diversity and uniqueness of street photography and learn about its background of it. It's where the dialogue originates amongst all the participants to shape a cultural community bonded by street photography eventually.

Why don't you join our community, TSPF, and develop such a story together? Now we are looking for participants as photographers, volunteer staff, and visitors.

Interested in participating in TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) as a photographer?

Please read below for the requirements and apply to exhibit your photos at TSPF!

 

  • Participation fee: ¥15,000

  • Photographs must be framed

  • number of photo to be exhibited: 4 photographs (each of them with a frame size within 450x450mm)

  • The photographer will be required to install the work themselves on the installation day and remove it on the removal day.

  • Present participants with a limited edition sticker & T-shirt

Application and Final Announcement

​

  1. Post your photo on Instagram with the tag #tspfseries and enter "I want to participate in TSPF" in the comment section.

  2. After the selection process, we will send DM with the final application URL to the finalists.

  3. Please complete the application and pay the participation fee on the application page.

  4. After confirming the payment, we will send the exhibition guidelines via email address.

  5. On the installation day, please bring the framed work and the printout of the acceptance email, and set up the artwork.

  6. On the removal day, please bring a printout of the acceptance completion email and bring your work home.

  • Participation fee: ¥5,000   (this includes the cost of printing and framing)

  • number of photo to be exhibited: 1photograph

  • Photo data of to be submitted: A4 size 350dip RGB data

 

Please upload the photo file you wish to exhibit using an upload service (WeTransfer etc.). Then, copy the download URL and paste it in the photo file download URL field of the form. FRAME TOKYO will handle the printing and installation at the exhibition venue.

How to pre-register

 

  1. Access the FRAME TOKYO website.

  2. Click on "New Member Registration".

  3. Fill in the required information on the form.

  4. An approval email will be sent to you after the form is submitted.

  5. Click the "Join" button on the site's event page.

  6. Fill out the required information on the form and click the Submit button.

  7. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

  8. Please present the acceptance email at the venue.

  9. Please pick up the limited edition sticker from the staff on the day of the event.

If you would like to participate in TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) as a volunteer, we would appreciate your support and are excited to work as a team to organise the event!

  • Supporting visitors on the day of the event

  • Check the condition of exhibited work (making sure they are not tilted, fallen, etc.)

  • Report any problems 

  • Present participants with a limited-edition sticker

 

Application

  1. Access the FRAME TOKYO website.

  2. Click on the TSPF volunteer application button.

  3. Fill in the required information on the form.

  4. Click the "Apply" button.

  5. You will receive an email with the dates and times you can participate as a volunteer from the available dates listed on the form.

  6. On the day of the event, please show us a printout of the email or your email screen.
