TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) is an annual participatory event project where street photographers and visitors come together to experience photography, engage in dialogue, and grow the festival into an ongoing cultural community together.

 

Through the works of many street photographers, visitors can discover the appeal of street photography and explore the ideas and stories behind it.

 

From these encounters, conversations begin—between photographers, visitors, and everyone involved—and the festival gradually becomes something larger: a cultural community built through photography.

Series Category

How to Enter the TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) – Series Category

 

If you would like to participate in TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) as a photographer in the Series Category, please apply only if you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Participation Fee

  • JPY 17,000 + tax
    Payment is required only for selected applicants.
    Entry is free of charge.

​

Exhibition Details

  • Participants are responsible for installing their own work.

  • You may freely curate and display your work within the assigned exhibition space.
    Exhibition Space: W1.5m × H3m

  • Please prepare and install your own title and description panel.

  • Participants must install their work on the installation dates.

Installation Dates

  • August 18 (Tue) – August 19 (Wed), 2026
    10:00–18:00

  • Participants must remove their work themselves on the final day.

​​

Removal Date

  • August 23 (Sun), 2026
    16:00–18:00

  • Participants who wish to sell works may offer prints, zines, books, and related items for sale during the festival.

  • If sales are handled by the festival organizers, a 30% commission fee will be deducted from the sale price.

  • Please take any packaging materials, waste, or unwanted items with you after removal.

Application Process

How to Apply

  1. Apply via the Entry Button.

  2. Upload the work you wish to exhibit using a file-sharing service and submit the download link in the application form.

  3. Applicants who pass the selection process will receive the application URL by email sent to the email address registered at the time of entry.

  4. Please complete your final registration and participation fee payment through the application page.

  5. After payment is confirmed, exhibition guidelines and installation instructions will be sent to the email address provided in your application.

  6. On the installation day, please bring your work along with a printed copy of your registration confirmation email and install your exhibition.

  7. On the removal day, please bring your confirmation email and take your work home with you.

Single Category

How to Enter the TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) – Single Category

If you would like to participate in TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) as a photographer in the Single Category, please apply only if you agree to the following terms and conditions.

​

Participation Fee

  • JPY 6,800 + tax
    (Includes printing and framing costs)

  • Payment is required only for selected applicants.
    Entry is free of charge.

​

Submission Requirements

  • Photo Data: Minimum 4093 × 2894 pixels

  • Color Mode: RGB

  • Number of Works: 1 photograph

  • Please upload the image file you wish to exhibit using a file-sharing service such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

  • Then copy the download URL and paste it into the Photo File Download URL field in the application form.

  • Printing, framing, and installation at the exhibition venue will be handled by FRAME TOKYO.

Important Notes

  • If your work is not selected, the submitted image data will be deleted and will not be used for any purpose.

  • Works selected for exhibition and printed by FRAME TOKYO will not be returned to photographers after the festival.

  • By applying, you acknowledge and agree to the above conditions.

Admission

  • Free Admission

  • Visitors may enter the festival multiple times during the exhibition period.

Advance Registration Benefits​

  • Visitors who complete advance registration will receive:

  • A limited edition TSPF sticker at the venue

  • Email updates about future FRAME TOKYO exhibitions, events, and member programs

 

How to Register in Advance​

  1. Visit the FRAME TOKYO website.

  2. Click Create New Account.

  3. Fill in the required information on the registration form.

  4. After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email.

  5. Go to the event page on the website and click the Advance Registration announcement.

  6. Click the Register button.

  7. Fill in the required information and submit the form.

  8. A registration confirmation email will be sent to you.

On the Day of Your Visit

Please present your registration confirmation email at reception upon arrival.

Our staff will welcome you and give you a limited edition festival sticker.
