The Tokyo Street Photography Festival (TSPF) is an annual event that invites street photographers and visitors to come together, enjoy photography, engage in meaningful dialogues, and nurture this event into a cultural community for all participants.

Through the works of many street photographers, you will be able to experience the charm of street photography and understand the context behind it. This event fosters conversations among all participants, including visitors, and aims to grow into a vibrant cultural community.

Series Category

Participation in the TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) Series Category

 

If you wish to participate as a photographer in the TSPF Series Category, please apply only if you agree to the following conditions:

  • Participation Fee: ¥16,800 (excluding tax) to be paid only by those who pass the selection. Entry is free.

  • Setup: You are responsible for setting up your own photographs.

  • Display Space: You are free to display your works within the allotted space (1.5m wide x 3m high).

  • Title and Description Panels: Please prepare and install your own title and description panels.

  • Setup Date and Time: October 14 (Monday, Holiday), 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

  • Takedown Date and Time: October 20 (Sunday), 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

  • Sales: Participants wishing to sell their works or zines may do so (please handle sales yourself).

  • Cleanup: If there is any waste generated, please take it with you.

Application Process and Post-Selection Steps

  1. Entry: Submit your entry using the entry button.

  2. Upload: Upload the works you wish to display to a file sharing service and provide the download link.

  3. Selection: Successful candidates will receive a direct message with the final application URL via their Instagram account.

  4. Application and Payment: Complete the final application and payment on the application page.

  5. Confirmation: After confirming your payment, we will send the exhibition guidelines and instructions to the email address you provided during the application.

  6. Setup: Bring your works and a printout of the confirmation email on the setup day to install your works.

  7. Takedown: On the takedown day, bring a printout of the confirmation email to collect your works.

Single Category

Participation in the TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) Single Category

If you wish to participate as a photographer in the TSPF Single Category, please apply only if you agree to the following conditions:

  • Participation Fee: ¥6,000 (includes printing and framing)(excluding tax) to be paid only by those who pass the selection. Entry is free.

  • Photo Data: RGB data with a resolution of at least 3508 x 2480 pixels

  • Number of Works: 1 photograph

  • Upload: Upload the photograph you wish to display using a file sharing service (WeTransfer, etc.). Copy the download URL and paste it into the "Photo File Download URL" field in the form.

  • Setup: FRAME TOKYO will handle the printing and installation of your work at the exhibition venue.

How to pre-register

 

  1. Access the FRAME TOKYO website.

  2. Click on "New Member Registration".

  3. Fill in the required information on the form.

  4. An approval email will be sent to you after the form is submitted.

  5. Click the "Join" button on the site's event page.

  6. Fill out the required information on the form and click the Submit button.

  7. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

  8. Please present the acceptance email at the venue.

  9. Please pick up the limited edition sticker from the staff on the day of the event.
