The Tokyo Street Photography Festival (TSPF) is an annual event that invites street photographers and visitors to come together, enjoy photography, engage in meaningful dialogues, and nurture this event into a cultural community for all participants.

Through the works of many street photographers, you will be able to experience the charm of street photography and understand the context behind it. This event fosters conversations among all participants, including visitors, and aims to grow into a vibrant cultural community.

Series Category

How to Enter the TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) – Series Category

 

If you wish to participate in the Series Category as a photographer, please apply only if you agree to the following terms.

Participation Fee

  • ¥16,800 (tax excluded)

  • Payment is required only for those selected through the review process.

  • Entry is free of charge.

​

Exhibition Details

  • You are responsible for installing your own works.

  • You may display your work freely within the assigned space.
    (Exhibition space: W1.5m x H3m)

  • Please prepare and install your own title and description panels.

  • Installation must be done by the participant on one of the following dates:
    August 11 (Mon, national holiday) or August 13 (Wed), 10:00–18:00

  • Removal of the exhibited works must also be done by the participant on:
    August 17 (Sun), 16:00–18:00

  • Participants wishing to sell works or ZINEs are welcome to do so.

  • If the organizing team sells your work on your behalf, a 30% commission will be deducted from the sales amount.

  • Please take all garbage or leftover materials with you when dismantling your booth.

How to Apply & What Happens After Selection​​

  1. Click the Entry button to begin your application.

  2. Upload your series of works to a file sharing service, and provide the download link in the entry form.

  3. If selected, you will receive a direct message (DM) via Instagram with a link for the final application form.

  4. Please complete the final application and make the payment via the provided URL.

  5. After payment is confirmed, we will send detailed exhibition guidelines to the email address you provided in your application.

  6. On the installation day, bring your printed confirmation email and your works for setup.

  7. On the removal day, bring your printed confirmation email to collect your works.

Single Category

How to Enter the TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL (TSPF) – Single Category

If you wish to participate in the Single Category as a photographer, please apply only if you agree to the following terms.

​

Participation Fee

  • ¥6,000 (tax excluded)

  • Includes printing and framing costs

  • Payment is required only for those selected through the review process.

  •  Entry is free of charge.

​

Submission Requirements

  • Submit one photograph for exhibition.

  • Image data must be at least 3508 x 2480 pixels in RGB format.

  • Upload your selected photo via a file-sharing service (e.g. WeTransfer), and paste the download URL into the "Photo File Download URL" field in the entry form.

  • FRAME TOKYO will handle printing and installation of the selected works at the venue.

How to Apply & What Happens After Selection

  1. Click the Entry button to begin your application.

  2. If selected, you will receive a direct message (DM) via Instagram with the final application link.

  3. Complete the final application and make the payment through the provided form.

 

Important Notes

  • Submitted image files will be deleted and will not be used in any way if they are not selected for the exhibition.

  • For selected works that are printed by FRAME TOKYO and exhibited at the venue, please note that the prints will not be returned to the photographers after the exhibition ends.

How to pre-register

 

  1. Access the FRAME TOKYO website.

  2. Click on "New Member Registration".

  3. Fill in the required information on the form.

  4. An approval email will be sent to you after the form is submitted.

  5. Click the "Join" button on the site's event page.

  6. Fill out the required information on the form and click the Submit button.

  7. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

  8. Please present the acceptance email at the venue.

  9. Please pick up the limited edition sticker from the staff on the day of the event.
